Wedding 20th October 2018
Roslyn/Wakari Football Club
Can I just say WOW!, we first saw you at our dear friends 60th, there was a diverse range of people there all ages all different styles but the whole yacht club was dancing! You let us feel like we were part of the band including us in the singing! I tell that night my now husband and I made the decision we needed you guys to play our wedding! I am so glad we managed to secure you for our reception because you did it again! 130 people all dancing... every single one of them... all night! And we super appreciate that you learnt a new song just for us. Thank you so much for helping us have the most amazing night! Everyone is still talking about how awesome you were! I really look forward to having you guys play for us again some time. Xoxo

Gavin and I would most definitely recommend Charma for any type of function. We recently celebrated our marriage and from the first email to the wedding reception everything went smoothly in terms of communication and organisation of the band. This made our day so much more enjoyable. We requested specific songs were played at our reception as we were making up a CD for our guests to take home with some of the music played that night. Charma we more than happy to learn the music we requested and even learnt our wedding song. Charma made our day incredibly special and would not hesitate to recommend Charma to people who were wanting a fun filled night at the function. Thanks again.

Mark and I would like to thank you, John and Shayne for playing at our birthday party/surprise wedding on Sunday night. Everyone enjoyed it so much and were up dancing from start to finish. You chose a great variety of songs and were up for our requests too!
We found you all very professional, organised and super easy to deal with (as well as very talented!). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the "Charma Band'.

Sorry about the late reply but we were away on our honeymoon.
We really enjoyed the whole experience, right from the start it was an easy simple process. On the night they were all set up and ready to go when we needed. It was great having the use of their microphone for speeches etc. They played our first dance song which was good to have played live. We really enjoyed the limbo competition they put on for the guests and everyone loved it ! All night there were people dancing as the hits just kept on coming. We would highly recommend Charma Band and we are so glad we choose them for our wedding.

Thank you so much for the fantastic entertainment at our wedding. Really loved all the Kiwi/NZ songs for our national & international guests. We loved seeing the energy on the dance floor which was packed full of our happy guests. From our one year old Flower girl right through to Kerry?s 90 year old Dad.
Also a big thank you for having our exceptionally talented Bridesmaid Joanne sing with you, Hallelujah was a real hit with everyone. We highly recommend your Band.

A great night was had by all at Christmas function and the band played great dance music for everyone to jive away too. Think a few bodies might have felt it the next day after the limbo dance late In the evening. To the band many thanks from all who attended
Wedding Venue: RiverRidge Retreat
Charma were outstanding from the moment we first made contact about playing at our wedding.
Weddings are stressful enough, but Tere and the guys made everything so easy, with not a single thing being an issue, from the travelling to the venue and setting up, to learning a specific song for our first dance, nothing was ever a problem! The communication was second to none as well which made the whole experience a breeze.
The night went without a hitch and everybody was up dancing from start to finish, with a great variety of music played. We have had nothing but positive feedback and would recommend Charma to anybody looking for a band for any occasion.
A big thank you to Charma for making our special day that little bit more memorable.

from a Wedding Function at Sidey Lodge, Thomas St, Waikouaiti.
It was awesome! The band really made the night something special! I think nearly everyone there was either singing or dancing. You guys just had a way of making everyone feel relaxed and included. Thanks for letting us use the mics earlier in the day as well. I would definitely book you again and recommend you to everyone I know!
P.s I even enjoyed the sound check haha

To Tere and the Charma boys
Have been meaning to write this for months, and have finally gotten around to it!
Thank you so much for the awesome night of entertainment you put on for our wedding at Waiora, in Dec 16.
Awesome that you guys could play our first dance song (Hooked on a feeling - Blue Suede), we have so many photos of people singing along at the top of their lungs, and then everyone just kicked on from there.
Highlights were watching our little nephews rip up the dancefloor and catching my new father in law having a shuffle. We have it on good authority that it was the first time anyone had seen him dance since his own wedding 28ish years before.
We had so many comments about you guys.
Thanks again, hopefully we will get to party with you guys again when we are next home in Dunedin

We are so happy Charma was able to grace our anniversary party. They have been so accommodating to our change of venues and times and helped us plan the flow of their programme into ours. BEST OF ALL, they are terrific performers and really got our guests on their feet and dance the night away. We hope to get Charma again for our next anniversary party!

Trustpower National Community Awards 19 March 2016
Dunedin Town Hall
A big thank you from all of us for doing such a great job at our Saturday night National Community Awards Dinner in the Dunedin Town Hall.
As an ex-muso myself, I know that one of the secrets to any successful band is an ability to ?read the crowd?, making judgements about when people just want to sit and chat and when they want to lair up, ?boogie? a bit and dance the night away, and everything in between ? put simply, to be able to adapt to the occasion.
Your choice of music was perfect for an audience that ranged from people in their early to 20?s (just turned 18 in once case) to those like me with more than a few grey hairs, and from all walks of life ranging from community representatives from really poor communities to comparatively wealthy communities, to company directors and managers, educators, mayors and/or senior Councillors from 28 regions, a Cabinet Minister, and the Host of a Prime Time TV show. Which just goes to show that regardless of age, some music is simply timeless and perfect for any occasion ? as long as it is played by competent and accomplished musicians like you and your team from Charma.
Thanks again for helping make a great night and event even greater, and please feel free to use me as a referee for any prospective clients wanting to not only deliver the expected, but to make the occasion rather special.

I was fortunate enough not to have to go searching for a band for my wedding as I had heard Charma at another event and I knew they were the band I wanted. I was so lucky they were available and boy did they live up to my expectations on the night and then some! The dance floor was full from start to finish and it really was just one hit after another and no one wanted them to stop. I had so many comments from my guests about how much they loved the band and they really made our wedding night awesome! I would highly recommend Charma to anyone for any event. A massive thank you to the band.
Chris and Christy Morris
We just wanted to say a big Thank You to Tere and the Band. I must say you guys were a BIG HIT at our recent Wedding at The Lake Hawea Hotel. Everyone commented on how much fun you were, I took a bit of a risk but that's what you do when planning a Destination Wedding from another country. Your play list was great, you had everyone up dancing from the 3 year olds to the 80 year olds. You made the night FUN!!! We highly recommend you for any function.
Cheers and Thank You

Portside Restaurant & Bar
Charma played at my 50th Birthday on the 18/12/2015 at Portside Restaurant & Bar in Oamaru. They played a variety of really great dance music and had the dance floor humming! Two males guests who NEVER dance were up on the dance floor strutting their stuff so well done Charma! I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who loves to dance and wants a band who will interact with their guests.
Otago Museum 28/11/2015
Charma played at our wedding and we highly recommend them. They were great to deal with before and during the wedding. They played a great range of music which kept the dance floor full all night. Thanks guys, you were fantastic and certainly helped in making our event memorable.

A wedding we played at on 7th November 2015
Thanks for coming to our farm and adding to our special occasion by playing good dance music. Some danced and some just enjoyed the music right where they were. A great night had by all.
